Plain plaids

The original Scottish cloth, now a must in any men's wardrobe. The Plaid. You have a choice of long sleeve or short sleeve, your traditional two colour or three or sometimes even four. You can hardly go wrong with it. Basically, the only difference in between two people wearing the same plaid shirt, is how you wear them. You can either be the " casual lay-back weekend guy " or " a gangster from the west coast thug " it all depends how you want to portray yourself.

How to rock a Plaid shirt

Lets pretend that you got yourself a couple of plaids and now you are asking yourself " how do i rock these awesome shirts i just bought ?? " .My basic rule to rock when wearing plaids is simple. Accessories. Be it a shaggy beard ( yes. facial hair is an accessory ) , a Fedora or any kind of hat, a beanie, leather band, Wayfarers, Club masters, Horns-man glasses, a cool necklace maybe? It all depends on your personal taste , also the way you wear it.

" This is my day off " look ; A grey or white v-neck underneath and leaving it unbuttoned with rolled up sleeves, Jeans shorts or cut off khakis, natural coloured boat shoes and throw in one or two accessories in. A Fedora with wayfarers for those sunny days outside.

" The Andre 3000 " look ; Wearing a v-neck sweater, or a cardigan over your plaids with khakis or natural coloured corduroy. Tuck in or let it loose depends on the mood. Choose between loafers, mocs or even converse and to top it off, a hat or a classic watch.

" The guy next door " look ; just your simple plaid buttoned up, rolled sleeve, relaxed hair Straight cut or skinny jeans, or black jeans. Choose from your array of choice of shoes, and something from the accessory box. ( not more than 3 object ).

" The Shia LeBeouf " look ; haha. a lack of a better name. You know the look he parade around with these days, A plaid shirt rolled up to look relaxed with a vest and skinny tie. Black pants with Oxford loafers preferably brown leather. Clean cut hair do with a good looking watch.

" West/East side hommies " look ; Button it up all the way to the top, with oversize half cut jeans and a belt buckle that just shouts " Bad ass ". A blue or red bandanna sticking out depending on which turf you are on, with a pair of Air force ones or Nike classics and accessories with metal or gold chains and if you can afford it, some grillzzz!. don't forget the to bust a cap on someone ( joke ).

There are many ways on doing it. It is both safe and a no brainer!  So pick up that plaid, And rock it like you're Scottish!

Flower Power!

As you all might have already notice, everywhere that you look, you can see flower prints everywhere. From dresses to leggings to bags and jumpsuits. We are embracing the feminine part of fashion that have been forgotten for quite some time. This time around we can see more feminine clothes on the rack with a lot of new and amazing designs. The choices are just too many to choose from. The prices on these clothes are also getting more cheaper and reasonable, it's no wonder a person's closet can now be full after a few months of shopping. An array of flower printed clothes like Spring had came too soon in your very own closet!

The best thing about flower prints is that it is very versatile. You can dress it up or you can dress it down. You can use your imagination. Pair it up with anything and make something happen. Just remember that too many flowers is a no-no. You have to remember to use the prints sparingly. Pair a loud flower print with a plain number and some accessories with gold tones, and you're ready to go.

Even more versatile is that, here in Malaysia -- as you all already know -- we celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. Who can turn down a few pairs of Baju Kurung Cotton? I can't. I already have tons. I used to think that flower printed traditional clothes are for little children. Boy, was I wrong! They're coming back stronger than ever. I can relive my days of childhood with just some piece of clothings. How amazing is that?

I cant wait for Hari Raya! Happy Fasting people! Lots of love -- and flowers! Until the next time :)
